The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) in coordination with the Abu Dhabi Free Zones Council launched the Unified Economic License in Abu Dhabi.
Previously, free zone companies were required to obtain two licenses to operate outside the free zones' boundaries - the free zone license and the Dual License. The licenses were necessary to be applied for via the TAMM government service.
The newly-launched Unified Economic License will save time and accelerate the process of business setup in the Emirate and its free zones. The double registration of business will no longer be needed.
The Unified Economic License will make it simpler for investors to check all the information related to a company: from now on, they won't have to search for all the licenses. The Unified Economic License number will be enlisted in the Abu Dhabi Unified Register, which represents a part of the National Economic Register (NER). Via the NER platform, businessmen and investors can benefit from obtaining instant and complete information on existing economic licenses and statistics.
