In the UAE labor law, the following leaves types are regulated:

- Official holidays 
- Annual paid leave
- Maternity leave
- Parental leave
- Sick leave
- Study leave
- Bereavement leave due to the death of relatives 
- Sabbatical leave to perform the national military service

The main provisions on leaves in the UAE are regulated by the key legislative act in the field of labor law, Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 on the Regulation of Labor Relations. The following legislative acts supplement the Law:
