51.1 Introduction

This regulation shall serve as a set of model requirements to help health and health-related establishments achieve a higher degree of compliance with the governing authority's requirements, and attain a higher standard of health and safety through adoption of good practices.

 

51.2 Definitions

Governing Authority: Ports, Customs, and Freezone Corp. (PCFC) Trakhees, authorized to ensure compliance with relevant regulations. (Concerned Department: PCFC Trakhees - EHS Health Section.)

 

Health Facility: as defined herewith are establishments that practice medical services (such as hospitals, clinics, dental facility, etc.), and provide supplies/medicines (i.e. Pharmacy, Optical Shops).

 

Health-related Establishments: as used in this guideline, is referred to as a facility that promotes health, hygiene and wellness assistance/services (i.e. Massage & Relaxation, Spa, Beauty Center, Salon, etc.)
