1.1. These Companies Regulations shall come into force on the date of their signature and are to be referred to as the Free Zone Authority Companies and Licensing Regulations 2024, amending the Sharjah Media City Free Zone Authority Companies and Licensing Regulations 2017. These Companies Regulations may be amended or supplemented from time to time by the Authority (as defined below).
2.1. These Companies Regulations are made pursuant to the Authority’s power to issue Companies and Licensing Regulations within the City under the Decree (each as defined below).
2.2. These Companies Regulations regulate the conduct of Companies incorporated and Branches established within the City.
2.3. Except to the extent provided in these Companies Regulations or otherwise applied in writing by the Authority, the UAE Federal Law No. 2 of 2015 concerning Commercial Companies (as modified and replaced from time to time) shall not apply in the City.
