This week saw the publication of a number of new regulations, including updates in the areas of excise taxation and VAT. At Real Law, we have added explanations on family matters and translated several key documents to make it easier for you to work with the legislation.
The UAE Government's Official Gazette No. 806 contains regulations in the areas of excise taxation and VAT, healthcare, corporate governance, environmental regulation, as well as in the areas of public administration and public-commercial associations. Among them are:
- Excise tax regulation changes — Cabinet Decision No. 99 of 2025 On amending certain provisions of Cabinet Decision No. 52 of 2019 concerning excise goods, the tax rates imposed on them, and how the excise price is calculated.
- VAT regulation changes — Cabinet Decision No. 100 of 2025 On amending certain provisions of Cabinet Decision No. 52 of 2017 regarding the Executive Regulations of Federal Decree-Law No. 8 of 2017 regarding Value Added Tax.
