We, Saqr bin Mohammed bin Salem Al Qasimi, Ruler of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah

- Based on what was presented to us by the Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler

- and acting in the public interest

have decided:

 

Article 1 — Naming of the Law

This Law shall be known as Ras Al Khaimah Law No. 6 of 2008 on the Regulation of Real Estate Offices in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

 

Article 2 — Definitions

In the application of the provisions of this Law, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings assigned to them:

 

Emirate: Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

 

Department: Department of Economic Development.

 

Land Department: Land Department.

 

Real estate: Means any building constructed on a piece of land that may be bought, sold, leased or rented by any person for the purpose of exploiting it for residential purposes or for any commercial, industrial, professional, tourist, social, agricultural and other purposes. Real estate also includes any piece of land that is vacant or has an unfinished building on it.

 

Real estate office: Means any office licensed to operate in the Emirate, owned b...
