Ras Al Khaimah Decision No. 6 of 2004 Regarding the Formation of the Friends of the Environment Committee

We, Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler

- Having reviewed Federal Law No. 24 of 1999 On the Protection of the Environment;

- Ras Al Khaimah Emiri Decree No. 5 of 1999 on the establishment of the Environmental ;Protection and Industrial Development Authority in Ras Al Khaimah;

- Ras Al Khaimah Public Sanitation Regulations of 2001;

- And based on the requirements of the public interest

have decided the following:

Article 1 - Formation of the Friends of the Environment Committee

A committee for the Friends of the Environment shall be formed, chaired by Sheikh Jamal bin Saqr Al Qasimi and with the following members:

1. Khalifa bin Saeed Al Masafri

2. Mohammed bin Sultan Al Shaheen

3. Mohammed Rashid Al Shaer

Article 2 - Objectives of the Committee

The Committee shall cooperate and coordinate with all bodies and entities concerned with environmental protection and work to raise environmental awareness in order to preserve a clean environment free from pollution.

Article 3 - Judiciary Status

The above-mentioned persons shall be granted the judiciary officers...
