Laundries whether as standalone facilities or as a component of a larger establishment such as a hotel, pose special safety and waste disposal problems This guideline outlines the general health & Safety requirements for laundries.
To ensure compliance of all laundries in the jurisdiction of Trakhees - Ports, Customs & Free zone Corporation, Dubai with the general health & Safety requirements set forth by CED-Facility Permits Section.
3.1 Cleanliness
The premises shall be clean from accumulation of dirt or refuse. Where a floor is liable to become wet in the course of any process an effective means of drainage shall be provided and maintained.
3.2 Collection and disposal of Waste
Discharge of Laundry Waste into soak way System is not permitted. Approval and/or no objection letter from the governing authority should be obtained prior on disposing the waste water from the laundry operations. Use equi...
