The Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) has issued Administrative Decision No. 220 of 2024. The Decision amends Law No. 2 of 2012 on the Preservation of Public Appearance, Health and Tranquility in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and implements Law No. 10 of 2022, which also amended Law No. 2 of 2012.
The Decision addresses violations of the following regulations:
- Maintaining the visual image of Abu Dhabi. Violations include negligent maintenance of property that negatively affects the visual appearance or public safety; installing car parking shades without a permit; violating regulations on the handling of flags or banners; failing to provide appropriate waste containers in establishments and commercial premises; putting drawings on building facades; and improper storage of materials on roofs, balconies, or pathways between residential buildings.
