MoHRE reminds of Emiratisation targets to be implemented by the end of 2024

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has called on private companies to meet Emiratisation targets. From 1 January 2025, private companies will have to pay a financial contribution of AED 96,000 for each non-hired Emirati.


Companies will be subject to a fine of AED 20,000 up to AED 500,000 for fake Emiratisation. Some cases may be referred to the Public Prosecutor's Office.


During the period between the second half of 2022 to November 19, 2024, MoHRE identified 1,934 companies that violated the conditions of Emiratisation. However, more than 22,000 companies met the Emiratisation targets during the same period.


Companies are entitled to a number of benefits for fulfilling the Emiratisation goals. For example, they can receive priority in public procurement, and also benefit from a discount of up to 80% on the Ministry's fees.


We remind you that the Emiratisation rules apply to the following companies:

- with the number of employees of 50 and more – these companies must increase the number of Emiratis by 2% by the end of the year;
