The Ministry of Economy launches the first set of changes to its digital services as part of the Zero Government Bureaucracy (ZGB) programme.
The ZGB programme was launched by the UAE Government in January 2024. In line with the programme, ministries and federal authorities are required to streamline and simplify government services. Within a year, they must eliminate a minimum of 2,000 government procedures, achieve procedures time reduction by 50% and remove excessive requirements.
The ZGB will be implemented in three stage. At the first stage, improvements in government procedures, requirements and conditions will be identified. At the second stage, the implementation of initiatives and measurement of results will be carried out by federal entities. The third stage will involve evaluation criteria.
The Ministry of Economy has simplified 10 digital services under the ZGB programme:

- rights violations complaints,
- auditor registration - for individuals;
- auditor registration - for local auditing firms;
- auditor registration - for branches of foreign auditing firms;
