Ministerial Decision No. 591 of 2016 Concerning the Commitment of Establishments to Provide Accommodation to their Workers

The Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation:

- Having perused Federal Law No. 1 of 1972 Concerning the Competencies of Ministries and Powers of Ministers, as amended;

- Federal Law No. 8 of 1980 Concerning the Organization of Labor Relationships, as amended;

- Cabinet Decision No. 13 of 2009 Concerning the Approval of the Guide of General Criteria of Collective Labor Accommodation and Annexed Services;

- Minister of Labor Decision No. 212 of 2014 Concerning the Approval of the Guide of General Criteria of Collective Labor Accommodation and Annexed Services;

Article 1

The establishments shall provide an accommodation for its workers in case the number of workers at the establishment is fifty (50) or more, and the total wage of each worker is less than AED 2000 (Two Thousand Arab Emirates Dirhams) per month according to the Wage Protection System adopted by the Ministry.
