- Having reviewed Federal Law No. 1 of 1972 On the Competencies of Ministries and the Powers of Ministers and its amendments;
- Federal Law No. 9 of 1984 On Insurance Companies and Agents;
- Federal Law No. 5 of 1985 Promulgating the Civil Transactions Law of the United Arab Emirates;
- Traffic Laws and Regulations;
- Based on the proposal of the Undersecretary of the Ministry and the approval of the Higher Insurance Committee
has decided:
The Vehicle insurance policies issued by insurance companies operating in the State to cover civil liability, loss and damage and civil liability shall be in accordance with the two forms attached to this decision.
The Vehicle insurance Policy must be written in the Arabic language, and an English translation may be attached to it, provided that the Arabic text shall be the most reliable.
The letters in which the Policy is written must be of a reasonable size and written in a colour different from the background colour of the Policy.
