Ministerial Decision No. 359 of 2020 Regulating the Use of Digital Transaction Technologies in Notary Public Work

Minister of Justice:

- Having reviewed Federal Law No. 1 of 1972 on the Competencies of the Ministries and Powers of the Ministers, and its amendments,

- Federal Law No. 1 of 2006 On Electronic Transactions and Commerce;

- Federal Law No. 4 of 2013 On the Regulation of the Notary Profession, and its amendments;

- Federal Decree-Law No. 25 of 2018 on Future Projects;

- Cabinet Decision No. 23 of 2008 On the Organisational Structure of the Ministry of Justice, and its amendments;

- Cabinet Decision No. 18 of 2020 On Granting a Temporary Licence for a Project to Use Digital Transaction Technologies in the Work of Notaries;

- After coordination with the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and the Future

has decided:

Article 1 - Notaries Shall Use Digital Transaction Technology as Stipulated in Article 5 of this Decision.

The notary public shall use digital transaction technology as stipulated in Article 5 of this Decision when conducting transactions within his jurisdiction in accordance with the provisions of Article 2 of Federal Law No. 4 of 2013 On the Regulation of the Notary...
