We, Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Municipality,
After perusal of:
- The powers legally vested in Us pursuant to the Order Establishing the Dubai Municipality;
- The Dubai Municipality Revenue Law promulgated by Dubai Municipality Council Decision No. 151 issued on 11 April 1962;
- Dubai Decision No. 15 of 1962 issued on 11 April 1962;
- Dubai Decision issued on 25 January 1989 by the Finance Committee and the General Purposes Committee of the Dubai Municipal Council; and
- The presentation of the Director General of the Dubai Municipality, and
In accordance with the exigencies of public interest,
Do hereby issue this Order.
An annual Labour Accommodation Fee is hereby imposed in respect of all labourers residing or working in the Emirate of Dubai.
For the purpose of implementing this Order, the owner of an establishment licensed to operate in the Emirate of Dubai will pay the Labour Accommodation Fee in respect of the labourers employed by him. This fee will be collected in advance for each year of the term of the licence.
