Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority Offshore Companies Regulations 2023

PART 1 - GENERAL

1. TITLE

These Regulations are titled Jebel Ali Free Zone Offshore Companies Regulations 2023

2. LEGISLATIVE AUTHORITY

These Regulations are made by the Chairman of the Dubai Ports, Customs and Free Zones Corporation in accordance with the authority given to him by Dubai Law No. 1 and Dubai Law No. 4 of 2001.

3. DATE OF ENACTMENT AND COMMENCEMENT

These Regulations are made on and come into force on the date of its issuance.

4. APPLICATION AND INTERPRETATION

4.1. These Regulations repeal and replace the Jebel Ali Free Zone Offshore Companies Regulations 2018.

4.2. The Regulations applies to any Offshore Company incorporated in the Zone and registered with the Authority.

4.3. The provisions of Federal Law No. 32 of 2021 Concerning Commercial Companies, its amendments or any re-enactments may not apply to an Offshore Company, except in respect of matters not contained in these Regulations.

4.4. The Interpretative provisions which apply to the Regulations; as well as a list of defined terms used in the Regulations are contained within Schedule 1.
