Sub: NON COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATIONS
We have noticed that a few consultants submit documents, which are not checked properly. This results in abortive work and delays to clients. Often, submissions do not include the minimum requirements set out in Section 3.1 of the "Planning and Construction Regulations for control of commercial Developments in the Jebel Ali Free Zone - Building and General Civil Work Construction Regulations".Submissions also do not always comply with the above; Health & Safety Regulations & Standards, IInd. Edition, 2003; Food Establishment Guidelines, 2002 and the Free Zone Rules".
We list below the most common anomalies found in the submissions:-
1. Incomplete / sketchy structural design calculations
2. Minimum member sizes not in compliance with JAFZA construction regulations.
3. Drawings containing mismatching / erroneous details, conflicting with other drawings.
4. Built-up area exceeding allowable limit / 5.5m setback being encroached upon / N.O.Cs from relevant service authorities not obtained.
