Federal Decree No. 107 of 2026 regarding the Withdrawal of the United Arab Emirates From the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting States (OPEC)

We are Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan The President of the United Arab Emirates,

• having reviewed the Constitution,
• and Federal Decree-Law No. 1 of 1972 concerning the remit of Ministries and the powers of Ministers, as amended,
• Based on the proposal put forward by the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, with the approval of The Cabinet and the ratification of the Supreme Council of the Union,

We have outlined what lies ahead:

Article 1

Approves the withdrawal of the United Arab Emirates from the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

Article 2

The Minister for Energy and Infrastructure shall implement this Decree, which shall be published in the Official Gazette.
