Federal Decree No. 61 of 2026 ratifying the Accession of the United Arab Emirates to the Locarno Agreement concerning the Establishment of an International Classification of Industrial Designs

We, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates,

- Having reviewed the Constitution;

- Federal Law No. 1 of 1972 on the Competencies of Ministries and the Powers of Ministers, and its amendments;

- and based on the proposal of the Minister of Economy and Tourism, the approval of the Cabinet, and the ratification of the Federal Supreme Council,

have decreed the following:

Article 1

The accession of the United Arab Emirates to the Locarno Agreement on the Establishment of an International Classification for Industrial Designs is hereby ratified, the text of which is attached.

Article 2

The Minister of Economy and Tourism shall implement this Decree from the date of its issuance, and it shall be published in the Official Gazette.
