The Cabinet:

- Having regard to the Constitution;

- Federal Law No. 1 of 1972 on the Competencies of Ministries and the Powers of Ministers, and the laws amending it;

- Federal Law No. 28 of 2001 establishing the Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology, and the laws amending it;

- and based on the proposal submitted by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology;

- and with the approval of the Cabinet,

has decided:

 

Article 1

The UAE standards (technical regulations) for electrical products, the titles and numbers of which are set out in the list attached to this Decision and which comprise 17 standards, are hereby adopted as mandatory standards for the United Arab Emirates.

 

Article 2

The relevant authorities shall implement this Decision, which shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into force six months after the date of its publication.
