The Cabinet:
- Having regard to the Constitution;
- Federal Law No. 1 of 1972 on the Competencies of Ministries and the Powers of Ministers, as amended;
- Federal Law No. 28 of 2001 regarding the Establishment of the Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology and its amendments;
- and based on the approval of the Cabinet,
has decided:
The approved standard No. UAE.S 5030:2018, ‘Electronic Nicotine Products (Analogues of Traditional Tobacco Products)’, shall be a mandatory standard applicable in the United Arab Emirates.
All parties concerned with the implementation of this Decision shall bring their affairs into compliance with its provisions within 90 days of the date of its entry into force.
This Decision shall be published in the Official Gazette and come into force on the day following the date of its publication.
