Cabinet Decision No. 41 of 2013 regarding the UAE Regulation on the Control of Laser Products

The Cabinet:

- Having reviewed the Constitution;

- Federal Law No. 1 of 1972 on the Competencies of Ministries and thttps://youtu.be/uzjIPyabi00?si=txomrBFtJKFmtxyGhe Powers of Ministers, and the laws amending it;

- Federal Law No. 28 of 2001 establishing the Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology, and the law amending it;

- Federal Law No. 24 of 2006 on Consumer Protection and the Laws amending it;

- and with the approval of the Cabinet,

has hereby decided:

Article 1 – Definitions

For the purposes of this Regulation, the following words and expressions shall have the meanings set out opposite each, unless the context requires otherwise:

State: United Arab Emirates.

Authority: Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology.

Board: The Authority’s Board of Directors.

Director General: The Director General of the Authority.

Competent Authority: The competent federal or local government Authority in the State responsible for enforcing the provisions of this Regulation.
