The Cabinet:
– Having reviewed the Constitution;
– and Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2020 on Standards and Metrology;
– and based on the proposal of the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and with the approval of the Cabinet,
has decided:
The technical regulation on the energy efficiency of electric motors, the number and title of which are set out in the table attached to this decision, shall be deemed a mandatory technical regulation in the United Arab Emirates.
All relevant entities existing at the time this Decision comes into force shall bring their affairs into compliance with its provisions within three hundred and sixty-five (365) days from the date of its entry into force.
This Decision shall be published in the Official Gazette and come into force on the day following the date of its publication.
