The safe transfer of psychiatric patients within the state
The safe transfer of psychiatric patients within the state requires the following:
1. A comprehensive medical and psychological assessment of the patient's condition to ensure that his or her health permits transfer, in accordance with the report prepared, which shall include any special measures to be taken during the transfer, if necessary.
2. Prior coordination between the sending facility and the receiving facility to ensure that a suitable place is available to receive the psychiatric patient.
