Dear Valued Business Partner,
In reference to Circular 630 and Circular 631 and Article 25 of the Executive Regulations of Cabinet Decision No. 68 of 2024 and Cabinet Decision No. 42 of 2025 regarding administrative violations and penalties related to media regulation, we wish to remind all foreign media offices operating within the UAE of the following requirements:
1. All media activities carried out must be aligned with and reflect the nature of the company’s licensed activity.
2. All companies conducting media activities under the applicable legislative framework must obtain a licence from the relevant Competent Authority or the UAE Media Council (UAEMC).
3. All foreign media offices licensed to operate within the UAE must register their correspondents and journalists with the Competent Authority before engaging in any media activity within the country.
