Cabinet Decision No. 201 of 2025 On Regulations for Suspending Social Support for those who do not Comply with the Empowerment Programme

The Cabinet:

- Having reviewed the Constitution;

- Federal Law No. 1 of 1972 On the Competencies of the Ministries and Powers of the Ministers, as amended;

- Federal Law No. 2 of 2001 On Social Security, as amended;

- Federal Decree-Law No. 23 of 2024 On Social Support and Empowerment, and its amendments;

- Based on the proposal of the Minister of Community Empowerment and the approval of the Cabinet,

has decided:

Article 1 - Conditions and Circumstances for Deducting Social Assistance

1. Social support due to the beneficiary shall be deducted or suspended if the beneficiary is between the ages of 21 and 54 and is not employed, enrolled in higher education, enrolled but not attending, or enrolled in national service, in any of the following cases:

a. Failure of the beneficiary to register in any of the empowerment programmes approved by the Ministry or failure to comply with the programme requirements within thirty (30) days from the date of receipt of the notification issued by the Ministry in this regard.
