Pursuant to the powers vested in the General Secretariat of the Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai under Dubai Law No. 14 of 2024 to issue and publish explanatory notes on local legislation in force in the Emirate of Dubai, in accordance with the rules and conditions governing the interpretation of legislation adopted by it in this regard.
With reference to the request submitted to it by the acquisition Committee formed pursuant to Dubai Law No. 2 of 2022 concerning the acquisition of real estate for public benefit in the Emirate of Dubai and Dubai Decision No. 2 of 2022 concerning the acquisition Committee for Real Estate for Public Benefit in the Emirate of Dubai, to define the meaning of the term "public benefit" contained in that law.
