As you are aware, the Ministry of Industry & Advanced Technology (MOIAT) has recently drafted guidelines for the manufacture of carbon steel bars for the reinforcement of concrete, as well as the production of steel billets for further processing into carbon steel bars and/or coils.
From Building Material Testing and Research Laboratory, we are writing to inform all stakeholders in Fujairah state who are working with steel products that these guidelines will soon be finalized and published by the MOIAT. It is important to note that these guidelines describe the minimum quality and operations requirements for the manufacture of carbon steel bars for direct use in concrete reinforcement.
All manufacturers, vendors, and other stakeholders in the steel industry are encouraged to review the draft guidelines and provide their feedback to us. Your input will help to ensure that the final guidelines are comprehensive, effective, and reflective of the needs and concerns of all stakeholders.
