Code of Conduct has come into effect from December 14, 2024 for a period of one year as a guideline, and the Ministry may, after coordination with the competent authorities, extend this period or make amendments to it.
In this code:
AED means the currency of the Country.
Consumer(s) means a person who buys grocery goods from a Retailer.
De-list means removing the grocery good from the Retailer’s range of products or reducing the distribution of the grocery good across the Retailer’s stores, which has or is likely to have a material effect on the Supplier.
Non-Promotional Retail Price means the Retail Price.
Operator means a Retailer or Supplier.
Payment means compensation or incentive of any form, whether monetary or non-monetary, and includes more favorable contract terms.
Promotion means a reference to a sale or special offer at a reduced price, which may be accompanied by additional benefits for Consumers. These offers are typically limited to a specific period of time.
Promotional Retail Price means the price charged by the Retailer to a Consumer for a grocery good at Promotion
