1. Local judicial bodies in each Emirate. They handle all judicial matters that are not entrusted to the federal judiciary. Basis for this is Article 104 of the Constitution. The effect of this is that the Dubai Courts are considered a judicial body independent of the federal judiciary with respect to the disputes over which it has jurisdiction. Agreement between the parties to deviate from this jurisdiction is impossible because the jurisdiction is related to the public order.
