FAQ: If a party signs a contract written in a foreign language, but later claims they did not understand the language, can they invalidate the contract?

Answer: No. UAE courts presume that by signing, the party understood and accepted the terms. Lack of understanding of the contract language is not sufficient grounds to annul an agreement.
