Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) is a free zone committed to creating a health and wellness destination.
DHCC is committed to a smoke-free environment in the free zone to promote, create and sustain healthy communities and protect the rights of individuals. In addition, DHCC encourages smoking cessation for both employees and patients.
The Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Department at Dubai Healthcare City Authority – Regulatory (DHCR) plays a vital role in promoting the health and safety of all members of the DHCC Community, ensuring partners take proactive measures to prevent the occurrence of avoidable emergencies and incidents.
In accordance with Federal Law No. (15) of 2009 and Cabinet Decision No. (24) of 2013, and other relevant laws, regulations and international evidence-based best practices, DHCR strives to provide a healthy, tobacco-free environment for all. DHCR also provides guidance to support initiatives that help reduce tobacco-related morbidity and mortality among staff, patients and the broader community at DHCC.
