Dubai Regulation No. 2 of 2006 On Identifying and Collecting the Costs of Repairing Roads Affected by Accidents In the Emirate of Dubai

We, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai  

- Having reviewed Dubai Law No. 17 of 2005 On the Establishment of the Roads and Transport Authority;

- Dubai Local Order No. 87 of 1993 Determining the Costs Payable for Road Resurfacing and Accident Repairs, as amended, and the decisions issued in implementation thereof;

have decided the following:

Article 1

The following words and phrases shall have the meanings indicated against each of them, unless the context requires otherwise:

Emirate: Emirate of Dubai

Authority: Roads and Transport Authority

Director General: Director General

Road: Every Road open to public traffic, including main, secondary and tertiary Roads, public squares, bridges, tunnels, intersections, median islands, public parking lots, sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, navigable waterways and jetties.

Road Elements: All equipment and materials that collectively form the general appearance of the Road, whether basic or cosmetic, including pavements, tiles, asphalt, barriers, fences, lighting poles, electrical distribu...
