To provide broad guidelines standards for ensuring environmental protection, a high level of safety to people, vessels, property and equipment against hazards associated with Wharfage activities, marine and commercial operations in areas under PCFC jurisdiction.
1. The dhow vessels calling Deira Wharfage shall ensure to comply with Ports & Maritime requirements specified in these regulations.
2. The Corporation (Authority) operates under a system of prior and continuous approval, and no operation may commence until the Wharfage facilities have been inspected and the Authority is satisfied that it meets its requirements and is fit to operate. The licensee/occupier/operator is also responsible by the Law under Ministerial Decision No. 32 Of 1982, Ministerial Decision No. 23 Of 1999, Ministerial Decision No. 24 of 1999 and other federal /state regulations for the protection of their staff from risks at work, injuries, disease, fire etc. that may result, and he must take the appropriate precautions to the satisfaction of the Authority.
