Dubai Local Order No. 4 of 1999 Amending Dubai Local Order No. 89 of 1994 Regulating the Engineering Consultancy Profession in the Emirate of Dubai

We, Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Municipality, 

After perusal of: 
- The powers legally vested in Us pursuant to the Order Establishing the Dubai Municipality; 
- Dubai Local Order No. 89 of 1994 Regulating the Engineering Consultancy Profession in the Emirate of Dubai and its amendments; and 
- The presentation of the Director General of the Dubai Municipality,
Do hereby issue this Order. 

Article 1 

For the purposes of this Order, the “Original Local Order” means Dubai Local Order No. 89 of 1994 Regulating the Engineering Consultancy Profession in the Emirate of Dubai and its amendments. 

Article 2 

All branches of foreign Engineering Firms and engineering consultancy firms existing in the Emirate by the effective date of this Order, and those established thereafter, are hereby exempted from compliance with the requirement to appoint a Local Service Agent as stipulated by Article 30, Article 31, Article 32, and Article 35 of the Original Local Order.
