We, Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Municipality,
After perusal of:
- The powers legally vested in Us pursuant to the decree establishing the Dubai Municipality;
- Dubai Local Order No. 11 of 2003 Concerning Public Health and Community Safety in the Emirate of Dubai and its amendments; and
- The presentation of the Director General of the Dubai Municipality,
Do hereby issue this Order.
Article 48 of the above-mentioned Dubai Local Order No. 11 of 2003 is hereby amended as follows:
a. Occupants will be responsible for satisfying the health and safety requirements in respect of Public Swimming Pools, including providing the equipment required for ensuring the safety of users of such pools, and conducting periodic maintenance works thereof.
b. With the exception of Public Swimming Pools existing in residential buildings and in residential compounds of apartment buildings and villas, Occupants must hire a full-time qualified lifeguard to be present at Public Swimming Pools.
