We, Maktoum Bin Rashid Ali Maktoum,

- After Perusal of Jebel Ali Free Zone Law No. 1 of 1980;
- Dubai Decree No. 1 of 1985 Concerning the Establishment of the Free Zone Authority in Jebel Ali Port;
- Dubai Law No. 2 of 1986 and its amendment,
- Dubai Law No. 1 of 2001 Concerning the Establishment of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation;
Decided to issue the following Act:
This Law may be cited as Hypothecation (the given of the mortgage property as a security for a loan) of the Structures Erected at Jebel Ali Free Zone Law, 2002.
The following words shall have the meanings respectively assigned to each of them unless the context otherwise requires:
1. The Government: The Government of Dubai
2. The Authority: The Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority.
3. Immovable Property: The Structures per- manently erected on the land, which can not be removed from one place to another.
4. The Register: The Register of the Hypothecation for the Structures Erected at Jebel Ali Free Zone.
