Foreword
Whereas broadening the range of visitor accommodation available in the Emirate represents a priority item in the preparations for welcoming 20 million annual visitors to Dubai by 2020, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in his capacity as the Ruler of Dubai, issued Dubai Decree No. 41 of 2013 concerning the Regulation of Holiday Home Rental in Dubai. That was followed, by the Dubai Executive Council Decision No. 49 of 2014 Approving Holiday Home Related Fees and Fines;
Whereas the Decree dictates that Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing will be regulating the holiday home rental market and activities; DTCM hereby provides clarity on the regulatory environment for Holiday the Home sector, so as to enable Dubai's visitors to book apartments, townhouses or luxury villas with full confidence that they are of quality standards, have the appropriate insurances, and are managed by qualified parties;
