We, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council,
- After the perusal of Dubai Law No. 3 of 2003 on the Establishment of the Executive Council of Dubai Emirate;
- Dubai Law No. 19 of 2009 on the establishment of the Supreme Energy Council, which is referred to hereinafter as the "Council";
- Dubai Decree No. 1 of 1992 on the Establishment of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority and the amendments thereof,
Hereby enacts the following:
An office called "Regulatory and Supervisory Office for Electricity and Water Sectors" shall be established at the Council and incorporated in the organizational structure thereof, and is referred to hereinafter as the "Office"
The Office shall be entitled to the tasks of regulating the electricity and water sector in Dubai Emirate, licensing the properties operating therein and controlling their activities. For the purpose of carrying out the foregoing, the Office shall do the following:
