We, Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council,
- Having reviewed Federal Decree-Law No. 55 of 2023 On the Regulation of Media and its Executive Regulations;
- Dubai Law No. 5 of 2022 Establishing the Dubai Media Council and its amendments;
- Dubai Decree No. 66 of 2024 On Determining the Competent Authority in the Emirate of Dubai for the purposes of implementing Federal Decree-Law No. 55 of 2023 On the Regulation of Media,
have decided the following:
The following words shall have the meanings assigned to them in this Decision, unless the context requires otherwise:
Emirate: The Emirate of Dubai;
Council: The Dubai Media Council;
Committee: The Dubai Electronic Gaming Committee, formed pursuant to this Decision;
Chairman: The Chairman of the Committee;
Electronic Games: Any interactive digital game programmes used by one or more persons in virtual worlds using electronic devices such as computers, smartphones and other programmed gaming devices;
