We, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai,
After perusal of:
- Dubai Law No. 3 of 1992 Establishing Dubai Courts and its amendments;
- Dubai Law No. 1 of 1994 Concerning Court Fees and its amendments;
- Dubai Law No. 7 of 2006 Concerning Real Property Registration in the Emirate of Dubai;
- Dubai Law No. 8 of 2007 Concerning Escrow Accounts of Real Estate Development in the Emirate of Dubai; and
- Dubai Law No. 13 of 2008 Regulating the Interim Property Register in the Emirate of Dubai and its amendments,
Do hereby issue this Decree:
By virtue of this Decree a special tribunal known as “Tribunal for the Settlement of Cheque Disputes Relating to Real Estate Transactions” (the “Tribunal”) will be established and will be comprised of:
1. a judge from the Court of Appeal, Dubai Courts as President;
2. a judge from the Court of First Instance, Dubai Courts as member; and
3. a representative from the Land Department as member.
