Further to Circular No. 226 regarding structural inspection of buildings issued by the Building Permits Department at Dubai Municipality, we would like to inform you that the types of buildings covered by the aforementioned circular have been amended as follows:
Type I: Buildings with a height of 120 metres or more.
Type II: Buildings that use a non-traditional construction system requiring specialised expertise.
Type III: Buildings with a connected construction area of 50,000 square metres or more.
In addition to the necessity of meeting the conditions and requirements stipulated in Dubai Local Order No. 3 of 1999 regarding the regulation of construction works in the Emirate of Dubai and the decisions issued pursuant thereto, the following must be submitted when applying for a licence for the aforementioned buildings:
