As part of the Buildings Department's efforts to improve and develop work and facilitate procedures in the construction sector, and with the aim of raising the efficiency of consulting offices and activating their role while ensuring the level of efficiency and safety in buildings constructed in the Emirate of Dubai, it has been decided to amend Circular No. 131 relating to the conditions for auditing the types of buildings listed below as follows:

Type I: High-rise buildings with a height of 40 storeys or more.

Type II: Buildings that use a non-traditional construction system requiring specialised expertise.

 

The following conditions must be met in order to submit these buildings for licensing:

1. They must be pre-audited by a specialised, qualified and licensed consulting firm working in the field of structural auditing in the Emirate of Dubai, as listed on the Dubai Municipality website.
