- Having reviewed Dubai Law No. 17 of 2005 Establishing the Roads and Transport Authority;
- Dubai Regulation No. 1 of 2010 On the Use of Special Lanes on Roads in the Emirate of Dubai
have decided the following:
The following words and phrases, wherever they appear in this Decision, shall have the meanings indicated opposite them, unless the context clearly requires otherwise:
Emirate: Emirate of Dubai.
Police: Dubai Police.
Authority: Roads and Transport Authority.
Director General: The Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority.
General Traffic Department: The General Traffic Department of the Police.
Agency: The Public Transport Authority.
Special Lanes: Lanes designated by the Authority on the Emirate's road network, which are restricted to vehicles specified by the Authority.
