Dubai Administrative Decision No. 1 of 2024 on Determining the Cases and Duration of Administrative Seizure of Vehicles



Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police:

- Having reviewed Dubai Decree No. 29 of 2015 on Vehicle Seizure in the Emirate of Dubai and its amendments,

has decided the following:

Article 1 - Definitions

The words and phrases used in this Decision shall have the same meanings as set forth in Dubai Decree No. 29 of 2015.



Article 2 - Administrative Seizure of Vehicles

Without prejudice to the penalties and measures prescribed under the legislation in force in the Emirate, the Director of the General Traffic Department of the Police, or whoever is authorised by him based on the traffic control report, may seize the vehicle in any of the cases specified in the table attached to this Decision, according to the period specified in relation to each case.



Article 3 - Publication and Enforcement

This Decision shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall enter into force from the date of its publication.
