At GITEX Global 2024, DIFC Courts announced the launch of a new suite of digital services:
1. Digital Assets Will service can be used by locals and foreigners from anywhere in the world.
The service allows assets to be distributed using a non-custodial wallet. Such a wallet gives the owner the full control over the funds and private keys. Now the wallet can recognize digital assets ETH, BTC, MATIC, USDC, USDT and HBAR. In the future, ERC 721, ERC 115, Ordinals and HTS (Hedera Token Service) will be added through support of NFT standards.
There will be an opportunity to add wills to tejouri global digital vault. This service is provided by the Dubai government and the DIFC courts. Tejouri securely stores documents and multimedia files with the use of encrypted data and personalised biometric information.
2. Digital Notary Service for documents in English will accept wills, powers of attorney, trade licenses, certificates of ownership, medical certificates, marriage certificates and bank statements for notarisation.
