In line with Dubai Customs' strategy to be a global sustainable customs pioneering vision and to enhance the services provided by reducing costs for customers and facilitating and simplifying the procedures for clearing consignments through courier companies;
The following has been decided:
a. Department: Dubai Customs
b. Companies courier companies licensed by the competent authorities and holding a valid commerciallicense.
c. Consignments: parcels/shipments that do not exceed 70KG in weight, transported via courier companies, excluding consignments of cards, mail, visually
impaired leaflets and print materials that are not subject to customs duties.
d. Customs Clearance Form: a form of the consignment or declaration submitted electronically by companies, which includes the minimum distinguishing elements of the declared consignment, their quantities, value, etc...
e. Simplified Customs Clearance: simplified electronic customs procedure that allows companies to submit their declarations in a more seamless manner.
