FTA in its capacity as the Maritime Administration of the United Arab Emirates, and in light of the precautionary measures it taken to prevent a pandemic (Corona Virus) pandemic (COVID-19). In order to protect workers in the UAE ports and territorial waters by taking all necessary preventive measures, the FTA stresses the necessity to follow the following instructions:

 

1. Dry docks and ship repair workshops

- It is prohibited for the Ship or any Marine unit to enter into any of the Dry dock / Ship Repair / Maintenance Workshop until the vessel completes 14 days prior to the date of departure from its last foreign port and also if a crew of the vessel had contacted with any other person will also be considered as Quarantine period for the vessel for 14 days.
