As a result of the continuous control and supervision imposed on the activities of the vessels operating in UAE waters, aiming to preserve the marine environment and enhance the safety of navigation, the following vessels were detained due to their illegal Ship to Ship (STS) operations in UAE waters:
1. M.T VIRGINIA-N (Moldova Flag - IMO 8224016)
2. M.T PANAGIOTIS-N JUNIOR (Tanzania Flag -IMO 9020546)
Both vessels are under the management of Rashid Al Zary ship supply LLC (IMO Company # 5717075).
After conducting the necessary investigations, the following actions taken by FTA:
1. Prohibiting the two vessels from entering UAE including the UAE EEZ waters.
2. Warning the owner company/ and managing company, from repeating similar illegal operations in order to avoid banning the company's activity's in UAE by taking the required undertaking letters.
