Due to increased cases of seafarer abandonment in UAE ports and waters, FTA is urging all ports authorities to report such cases immediately once it happen inside or outside the port to unite the efforts and avoid suffering of seafarers from the harsh unhuman conditions onboard.

Therefore, FTA urge all ports to use the attached form to report any case of seafarers' abandonment in order to facilitate resolving the problems by taking early actions and avoid reaching a critical situation
were finding solution will be more challenging for all concerned government parties.
